We work extensively with a host of prestigious private sector Built Environment clients across the UK, providing expert advice on projects from pre-planning/feasibility, through the planning and design process, to discharge of conditions and monitoring, ensuring a seamless process throughout. We are looking to grow and are keen to hear from experienced Associate level Transport Planners in the Birmingham area to help lead on client and project management, and commercial development of the team.
About the role:
- You will be involved in managing and delivering a number of complex projects with the team at any one time.
- Typical projects may include the promotion of development sites from site identification/acquisition, planning application submission, discharge of planning conditions and monitoring through the planning process, preparing transport statements, assessments, travel plans and other supporting documentation such as delivery servicing management plans.
- As part of the team or lead on projects, you will deliver market leading consultancy advice to clients and co-consultants and be confident in explaining technical matters to decision makers, interested parties and lay people.
- You will provide support to senior staff as well as having the opportunity to develop your own project management and work winning skills.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- To manage client relationships to ensure the securing of work and the successful delivery of projects.
- To lead, mentor and grow the Birmingham team whilst creating a safe and healthy workplace culture.
About you:
You will be an experienced Transport Planner and you will ideally have:
- A degree in a relevant subject.
- Significant knowledge and experience of national, regional, and local transport policies.
- A clear understanding of the legal framework, regulations, and guidance relating to the development of sustainable transport solutions.
- Proficiency in the use of transport and traffic modelling and related analysis techniques.
- Demonstrable project management skills.
- Experience of conducting consultation exercises and the presentation of detailed proposals to a range of stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness.
