We are seeking a Manufacturing Specialist (CNC / CAD-CAM Programmer) with a solid CNC Machining background to join our team at the Birmingham Technology Centre. In this role, you’ll work on live customer projects, assist in developing and promoting our Fusion platform, and engage with a diverse range of users. This is a customer-facing position where you’ll showcase the exceptional capabilities of our hardware and software. Our workshop thrives on someone with strong technical skills, experience with various controllers, and proficiency in tool library management. In addition to your machining expertise, a key responsibility will be producing and delivering compelling internal and external content that highlights our cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities- Utilize your expertise in multi-axis machining and/or twin spindle turning.
- Support software product development and testing, including reporting, participation in scrum meetings, and providing customer feedback to business groups.
- Develop customer facing live machine and software product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging content for the Technology Centre.
- Share your industry knowledge and experience through internal training programs.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks to support business objectives.
- Work independently and proactively to align with business unit goals.
- Adapt to company needs with flexibility when required.
- Completion of a full apprenticeship with experience in a toolroom, machine shop, or manufacturing environment.
- A HNC qualification in Mechanical - Manufacturing Engineering is desirable.
- Proficient in programming and manufacturing complex components, ideally with 5-axis or Turnmill programming experience.
- Familiarity with Autodesk manufacturing solutions on production parts is preferred, though experience with alternative CAD/CAM systems will also be considered.
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
