Responsibilities
- Lead the Telematics algorithm, unlocking its value for customers and the business by leveraging raw data to influence pricing.
- Hands‑on development supported by a small, highly creative team.
- Use Telematics data to manage risk spread and reduce prices for customers using driving data rather than traditional datasets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure necessary data and shape its presentation to customers.
- Ground all data and pricing decisions in clear documented principles and manage processes that minimise errors, always keeping the customer in mind.
- Ensure customers receive prices that are fair, justifiable, and in line with governance and processes.
- Continuously learn new modelling techniques and identify new data sources to stay ahead of competitors.
- Manage and motivate a team of analysts to achieve the above outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong analysis and coding experience; Python preferred but other languages acceptable.
- Comfortable working with and analysing numerical/statistical data.
- Thirst for change and an inquisitive, curious nature.
- Collaborates well with colleagues across teams.
- General insurance background or knowledge is preferable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
