Financial Reporting – Assistant Vice President
Role Location: Guernsey, Channel Islands

The Role & Key Responsibilities
- As an Assistant Vice President, you will support the delivery of high‑quality accounting and reporting services for clients within the Guernsey office.
- You will play an important role in coordinating reporting cycles, reviewing work prepared by junior team members, supporting workflow planning, and maintaining strong internal and external working relationships.
- The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, good organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset, with escalation of complex or judgmental matters to senior leadership where appropriate.
Operations
- Support the operational performance of assigned clients or portfolios, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service level agreements and internal controls.
- Assist with the preparation, review and timely delivery of management, interim and audited accounts across a portfolio of Guernsey‑based entities.
- Support the preparation of capital adequacy calculations, management fees, carried interest calculations, and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
- Assist in monitoring the setup and ongoing operation of the Apex outsourcing model for financial reporting, escalating issues to the VP or senior management as required.
- Contribute to audit planning activities and coordinate the provision of information to auditors to support efficient and timely audit completion.
- Act as an initial point of contact for routine client queries, working closely with Client Relationship Management to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Review financial statements, working papers, and supporting schedules prepared by junior team members.
- Assist in monitoring the timely delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring LPA and regulatory deadlines are met.
- Support the development and maintenance of bespoke client reporting and assist in producing client‑specific reports where required.
- Act as a signatory.
People Development
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and technical support to junior team members.
- Assist with training initiatives and knowledge sharing across the team, promoting best‑practice procedures.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive and client‑focused team culture.
Skills & Experience Required
- Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while operating effectively within a broader team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), with experience in fund administration; ideally within Private Equity or similar structures.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting within a regulated financial services environment.
- High integrity, sound judgement, and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and supporting solutions to practical accounting or reporting challenges.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to review work critically and manage competing deadlines.
