Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) London is seeking talented VFX Animators at all levels to join our team and push the boundaries of storytelling. Bring high‑quality characters, creatures, and objects to life on the big screen. At ILM, you’ll blend artistic vision with cutting‑edge technology on memorable VFX animation projects. Start dates range from August 2026 to December 2026 for various contract durations.

What You’ll Do

  • Animate a series of shots for a specific film or episodic project.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine aesthetic solutions; provide feedback and attend dailies regularly.
  • Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and delivering high‑quality work.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in traditional and/or computer animation.
  • Demonstrated work on cel, stop‑motion, or computer animation for feature films.
  • Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles, acting, film production, and compositional design, with a strong portfolio, demo reel, and references.
  • Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting; proficiency in Maya and other supporting software.
  • Understanding of constraint techniques and basic rigging.
  • Familiarity with the CG production pipeline and ILM production processes.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

Please submit a demo reel, shot breakdown, or equivalent showcasing your work. A current resume is required. This role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days on‑site per week at a company‑designated location, with occasional work from home.
