About the role

You'll lead the analytics function for one of the world’s most purposeful beauty brands, setting the strategic direction for how data and insight inform, elevate, and prove the value of the studio’s work across 15 markets. From measurement architecture to executive-level reporting, from team development to tech stack strategy, your accountability is broad and your influence is direct. You'll work alongside the Studio Director and senior clients at Dove, shaping how the brand understands its social performance and where it invests next. You'll lead a team of analysts, building their capability and embedding a culture of insight‑led thinking across every discipline in the studio. Success looks like this: a studio where data informs every brief, a client team that trusts insight to guide strategy, and an analytics function that is recognised—internally and by Dove—as a genuine source of competitive advantage.

What you will be doing

  • Strategic Direction and Analytical Leadership
    • Set the analytical vision and measurement strategy for Dove’s social operation across organic, paid, influencer, UGC, and emerging content formats — ensuring insight is embedded at every stage of the creative and strategic process, not just at the review.
    • Define what good measurement looks like across the studio, establishing frameworks, standards, and methodologies that deliver consistent, actionable intelligence across 15 markets.
    • Translate social performance data, audience behaviour, and cultural signals into clear strategic recommendations that shape content strategy, channel investment, and campaign direction.
    • Lead competitive and category intelligence for beauty and personal care, identifying where Dove leads, where gaps exist, and where the next opportunity lies.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, develop, and retain a team of analysts, creating clear career pathways, setting high standards, and coaching the team to deliver exceptional insight at pace.
    • Foster a culture of analytical rigour, curiosity, and continuous improvement across the studio — not just within the data team but across social, strategy, and creative disciplines.
    • Proactively organise learning sessions, industry briefings, and capability-building programmes that keep the team at the forefront of social measurement, AI‑assisted analytics, and platform evolution.
  • Client Partnership and Senior Stakeholder Engagement
    • Own the senior data and insight relationship with the Dove brand team, becoming a trusted strategic partner and the go‑to authority on social performance and measurement.
    • Present analytics strategy, campaign post‑mortems, and forward‑looking recommendations to senior Dove stakeholders and divisional leadership, distilling complex data into compelling narratives that drive decisions.
    • Shape the measurement agenda with clients — proactively proposing new approaches, challenging assumptions, and ensuring the studio’s analytical output reflects the sophistication of the brand’s ambitions.
  • Measurement Innovation and Technology
    • Own the studio’s analytics and social intelligence tech stack, leading supplier relationships and platform partnerships to ensure the team has access to the right tools — and uses them to their full potential.
    • Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging measurement methodologies, including AI‑driven and agentic automated reporting solutions, that improve the speed, depth, and commercial relevance of insight.
    • Build scalable measurement architectures that aggregate data across sources — platform‑native analytics, third‑party tools (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Meltwater, and others), paid social platforms, and brand tracking — into integrated, actionable performance views.
    • Develop tailored measurement approaches for different content types, creator partnerships, and campaign formats, ensuring the studio can clearly and credibly demonstrate the value of its output to clients.
  • Commercial Accountability
    • Manage the analytics function budget, overseeing tool investments, supplier contracts, and resource allocation across the team.
    • Contribute to studio commercial planning, supporting the Studio Director with data‑informed perspectives on capability investment, resource decisions, and growth opportunities.
    • Identify where data and insight capabilities can support new business development and expanded scope within Dove and across the wider U‑Studio network.

What you need to be great in this role

  • A proven track record leading analytics or data insight functions within a social‑specialist, in‑house studio, or integrated agency environment — with demonstrable impact on both the quality of the work and the strength of client relationships.
  • Expert knowledge of social measurement across organic, paid, influencer, and UGC — with the ability to build integrated views of performance that connect activity to meaningful brand and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading, developing, and retaining analytics teams, with the ability to set high standards, build capability, and create a culture of insight‑led thinking.
  • Deep familiarity with the social analytics and listening technology landscape — including platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Meltwater, and Dash — and confidence leading supplier relationships and platform strategy.
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and compellingly to senior clients and executive stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset: able to connect social performance data to broader brand strategy, cultural context, and commercial objectives.
  • Confidence operating as a senior client partner — presenting at a senior level, shaping the measurement agenda, and building lasting trust with brand teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, supplier contracts, and technology investments within an analytics or data function.
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, wellness, or FMCG is a strong plus.
