Role Summary and Impact OpenMind was recently awarded the ZEUR assignment for Nestlé Europe. With 47 countries, +450 team members, and regular new product launches, the account is looking for a UK RDM Account Director to provide strong eCommerce and Retail Media excellence for in-scope Nestlé categories.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE The UK RDM Account Director is an experienced in platform retail media and eCommerce expert as part of ZEUR UK team, responsible for developing best in class RDM campaigns, and managing the relationship with the UK RDM & Search Lead, as well as providing support to Category teams. They will provide excellent portfolio coordination skills and strategic guidance in managing campaigns as well as the knowledge/skills to push innovative thinking. You will be an excellent communicator & manager to a RDM Planner and you will be responsible for overall UK RDM campaign set‑up and activation.
This role will be a key support to the UK Retail Media Lead (Director) in integrating ZEUR RDM strategy into UK media plans, strategizing media investment allocation across retailers and marketplaces (for all brands), increasing RDM visibility into planning, performance, competition and ensuring UK market consistency. The role is supported by a team of specialists (Above Market, Cluster), OpenMind leadership, and other Category leadership to draw from for inspiration and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibility for the output of your team, both client facing and operational, and accountability for adherence to controls and best practices. Strategic understanding of the Nestlé business and KPIs, keeping up to date with latest industry news and proactively spotting trends, product releases, and other opportunities which could enhance Nestlé activity. Maintain a forward thinking and innovative approach in the development of all activity. Develop strong relationships with your client and key suppliers, leading team communications with these stakeholders. Be able to communicate with clients on subject matters (even outside of your remit) and provide them with useful insight. Take responsibility for your team’s development and career progression within the agency. Communication lead with the client contacts, media partners and internal stakeholders with the support of the UK Retail Media Lead (Director) when required. Develop strong relationships with your client, and key suppliers. Foster a good working relationship across client team stakeholders to facilitate flawless execution of plans. Helping to drive process automation through adoption of technology and efficient ways of working. Lead on application and adherence to all areas of activation related finance process. Knowledge of measurement capabilities and restrictions in 3rd party partners. Agree objectives with your line manager to ensure constant progression. Contribute to OpenMind culture in the team – great people with clear goals, objectives, and development plans.

Excellent understanding of the strategic and tactical application of eCommerce/retail media and digital marketing in general. Proficient in Amazon, Criteo, Citrus and an understanding of the main UK retailers (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, ASDA, Morrison’s, Ocado etc.) and Quick Commerce Partners (Deliveroo, Uber Eats etc.) Experience with bid management platforms (Skai, Pacvue). Proven project management, leadership and people management experience. Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and agency partners. An ambition and tenacity to make the ordinary extraordinary. Data‑literacy – aware of the available resources and how to turn data into insights that shape clear strategic opportunities. Attention to detail. Good storytelling skills – to give our ideas and thinking the best chance of coming to fruition. Team management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and manage workload.
