We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our busy Mass Market, Non-Traditional, B2B Sales & Special Sales Channel within the DK UK Sales department, and be a key member of our team.
Duties will include full administrative support to the Head of the channel, one Sales Manager and two Key Account Managers with a range of tasks, including meeting preparation involving liaising with internal departments to secure materials, gathering and ordering samples and putting together presentations using ESK, PowerPoint and Google Slides.
Other responsibilities include:
- Daily order processing including communication with our customer service and warehouse teams.
- Completing title submissions grids.
- Running sales reports using Business Objects, SAP and Nielsen Bookscan.
- Collating marketing and PR information.

Responding to customers\β communication, monitoring competitor activity, and other tasks to enable the team to achieve the channel sales targets.

The ability to prioritise a varied and demanding workload is essential.
The role is also responsible for management of the Sales Inbox and ad hoc small sales, so we are looking for someone proficient at dealing with customers face to face, on screen and on the phone, with excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
The role requires someone who can demonstrate a confident, positive and professional approach in managing relationships with key colleagues across all DK departments and with a variety of external contacts at all levels of business.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised with a can-do attitude, good system skills, a strong eye for detail and the ability to problem-solve, multi-task and stick to deadlines. If you have a passion for publishing, great relationship building experience, are a good team player and are commercially aware and driven then this could be the role for you.
Salary: up to Β£27,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits
