Are you passionate about finance and eager to dive into the world of publishing? We are the world's leading illustrated non-fiction publisher seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join our international finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting into the Finance Manager – Group & International, you will assist with the reporting, planning, and forecasting for China and Global Export, while providing key financial support to the Asia Sales Director and Head of Global Export.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Work with the International and Global Export sales teams to support the preparation of bottom-up annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts. Assist with annual cost-centre budgeting for China and help prepare budget/forecast packs for the DK Board.

  • Reporting: Complete month-end processes for the International business (reconciliations, provisions, accruals, overhead reviews, and Chinese Balance Sheet reconciliations). Prepare IPL month-end files, monthly Global KPI Packs, daily sales reporting, and quarterly Bertelsmann updates on Chinese performance.

  • Analysis & Support: Prepare biannual regional profitability reporting for key markets, present findings to the Asia and Global Export sales teams, and provide ad-hoc analytical support to senior management.

About You

Whether you are a Finance graduate or have relevant experience in finance or accounting, you will thrive in this role if you are financially and commercially aware with strong Excel skills. Knowledge of Business Objects, SAP, or Anaplan is advantageous.
