This role is responsible for providing clinical support to the Consultants and Medical Staff of DHC. The successful applicant would cover a wide variety of clinic specialities, gaining experience in many areas. They will also hold nurse-led clinics, such as conducting Spirometry, FeNO, taking blood pressures, applying holter cardiac monitoring devices and height and weight measurements.
Our regular hours of work could be between 07:45 and 21:45, Monday to Friday and Saturday 08:00-18:00. Saturday shifts are shared within the nursing team. The nursing team consists of 12 people, with a mixture of registered nurses and healthcare assistants. We hold clinics across 5 locations, and the ability to drive and to have your own means of transportation would be highly beneficial. The preference of sites will be discussed at the interview.

JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for providing clinical support to the Consultants and Medical Staff of DHC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST
- Work within clinical protocols and individual level of competence at all times.
- Work autonomously within the team to provide an effective, efficient service during pre-booked clinic appointments.
- Make effective use of the IT systems ensuring consistent and accurate recording.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times according to the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Demonstrate appropriate communication skills with patients and team members, showing sensitivity to patients' needs.
- Demonstrate motivation, reliability, flexibility, and commitment to the role.
- Comply with Clinical Policies and Procedures at all times and provide evidence of compliance with required vaccinations within specified timelines.
- Undertake other clinical and administrative duties as required, which are commensurate with the nature of the post.
SPECIFIC CLINICAL DUTIES (TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED)
- Chaperoning of Doctors and Consultants during examinations

WORK SETTING AND REVIEW
To manage own workload efficiently and effectively on a daily basis with a degree of autonomy. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Make decisions pertaining to the smooth and efficient running of the department acting independently but where necessary referring problems to management or the appropriate consultant via the quickest route possible.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and DHC business in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Caldicott principles.
