Doris Talent is on the search for an experienced Practice Assistant to support up to 7 Partners within a highly regarded, fast-paced team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, takes pride in delivering a high standard of support and thrives in a busy, collaborative environment. Please note: this role requires a minimum of 3–4 days per week in the office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing complex diaries and coordinating meetings across multiple time zones
- Managing busy inboxes, calls and correspondence
- Arranging domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, visas and itineraries
- Preparing and formatting correspondence, presentations, pitches and other documentation
- Managing document processes, filing, archiving and data rooms
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting client relationship, business development, pitch and event activity
- Assisting with financial and matter management, including expenses, invoices, billing and time recording
- Supporting the onboarding of new joiners and helping colleagues with internal processes
- Coordinating work with specialist internal teams and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
- Managing competing priorities across multiple Partners while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Supporting projects, process improvements and other ad-hoc initiatives
Who are we looking for?
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Practice Assistant, Legal Secretary, Executive Assistant or similar within professional services
- Experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders, ideally Partners
- Strong experience in diary and inbox management
- Experience arranging domestic and international travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting pitches, presentations, events or business development activity
- An understanding of expenses, invoices, billing or time recording
- Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with senior stakeholders and colleagues
- A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information
- The confidence to work independently, take ownership and use initiative
Experience with legal systems, matter management or platforms such as Intapp, Expert Time, Interaction, Kira or Transact would be advantageous, but is not essential.
