Social Media Content Creator - Part-Time

Dorina Food Group Ltd

Boston, Lincolnshire

Hybrid - On-site & Remote

Part-time | 20 hours per week

Β£13.05 per hour

About the role

Dorina Food Group Ltd is looking for a creative and reliable Social Media Content Creator to support the development of our visual content as we build and grow our brand.

This is a hands-on content creation role focused primarily on filming, photography and video editing.

This is not a Social Media Manager position. You will not initially be responsible for managing our social media accounts, publishing posts, responding to messages or independently developing our overall marketing strategy.

You will work directly with the Founder & Managing Director. We will establish the marketing priorities, content objectives and creative direction together, and you will be responsible for turning the agreed brief into high-quality visual content that is edited and ready for publication.

The final content may be used across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, our website, digital advertising and other marketing channels.

Working hours

This is a 20-hour-per-week hybrid position, consisting of approximately:

12 hours on-site in Boston

  • Monday - approximately 6 hours
  • Saturday - approximately 6 hours

8 hours remote

  • Video editing
  • Photo editing
  • Post-production
  • Preparing agreed content for delivery

The Monday and Saturday sessions are intentionally different.

Mondays will generally provide opportunities to capture quieter behind-the-scenes content, products, the venue, preparation and team activity.

Saturdays may provide opportunities to capture the business during busier periods, including service, events and the general atmosphere of the venue.

Remote post-production hours can be worked flexibly, subject to agreed deadlines.

Your responsibilities

You will:

  • Capture high-quality video and photographic content at our Boston location.
  • Work from an agreed content brief and marketing direction.
  • Contribute creative ideas where appropriate.
  • Edit short-form and other digital video content.
  • Edit and prepare photographs for digital use.
  • Produce content suitable for different online platforms and formats.
  • Deliver completed materials in an agreed, publication-ready format.
  • Complete agreed post-production and normally deliver content within 7 days of the relevant filming session, unless another deadline has been agreed.
  • Maintain organised project files and provide agreed final content to Dorina Food Group Ltd.
  • Communicate promptly if a brief, deadline or deliverable requires clarification.

Social media account management and publishing are not currently part of this role. Dorina Food Group Ltd will retain responsibility for deciding where, when and how completed content is published.

What we're looking for

We are happy to consider entry-level candidates and emerging creators. Previous employment in a professional content creation role is not essential.

What matters to us is your demonstrable ability to create and edit good visual content.

You should:

  • Be confident filming video content.
  • Have existing video editing skills.
  • Be comfortable producing short-form digital content.
  • Have a good eye for composition, framing and visual storytelling.
  • Be able to work from a creative brief and deliver the agreed result.
  • Be organised and able to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Be comfortable working independently during the remote editing portion of the role.
  • Be able to attend our Boston location on the agreed on-site working days.
  • Have access to suitable equipment for filming and editing.

You may use the editing software and applications with which you work best. Where specific paid software or platforms are required by Dorina Food Group Ltd for company projects, appropriate access can be provided.

Portfolio

A portfolio or examples of previous work are required as part of the application.

We do not require an extensive commercial portfolio.

We are happy to consider:

  • Personal projects
  • Mock campaigns
  • College or university projects
  • Unpublished work
  • Content created for small businesses
  • Independent creative projects

Your work should demonstrate that you already have practical ability in video creation and editing.

Applications from candidates with no professional employment history in content creation are welcome, but applicants should be able to provide examples demonstrating their current skills.

On-camera appearances

This is primarily a behind-the-camera role. You are not required to appear in Dorina Food Group Ltd's content as part of your normal duties.

If a future campaign would benefit from your voluntary participation on camera and you are interested in doing so, this would be discussed separately in advance, including the nature of the content and any applicable terms.

What we offer

  • Β£13.05 per hour
  • 20 paid hours per week
  • Hybrid working
  • Approximately 12 on-site hours and 8 remote post-production hours per week
  • Flexibility around remote editing hours, subject to deadlines
  • Free meal and drinks during on-site working days
  • Staff discount when visiting the business outside working hours
  • Access to required company-paid software/platforms where appropriate
  • An opportunity to develop commercial portfolio work
  • The opportunity to contribute to the visual identity of a growing business from an early stage
  • Dorina Food Group Ltd is an equal opportunities employer. Applications will be considered based on the requirements of the role, relevant skills and demonstrated ability.
