The successful candidate will need to be based within 40 minutes of Stoke on Trent. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider candidates looking to relocate or looking for a hybrid or remote working role as it is HQ based when travelling throughout North America.
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with experience of setting up Distributors throughout the USA and Canada to manage existing accounts and set up/develop new Distributors. Ideally, you will have sold products into Mining or a similar heavy industry, used to being on sites in your Wellingtons and hard hat, comfortable dealing at all levels.
The role will involve approximately 60% of your time being overseas and being office based in the Stoke on Trent area when not travelling. You will probably be away for 2 to 3 weeks at a time to cover the area more effectively and to make the longer travel worthwhile.
You will need to come from a technical background, have a proven overseas Sales track record, dealing within a heavy engineering industry ideally Mining, Coal/Thermal Power, Hydro Power, or Agricultural etc., comfortable dealing at all levels on site in a very hands-on environment.
Being part of the Global Sales team, you will need to be happy to be office based (commutable to the Stoke on Trent area Monday to Friday when not overseas), managing technical enquiries, setting up meetings with Distributors and their end users, developing new relationships and bringing on new Distributors throughout your territory.
Your success will be aided by representing a well-established British Global business with many years’ experience, unique selling points, with a reputation for exceptional reliability, quality, and ongoing customer service around the world.
