Due to the company’s expanding activities, we now have opportunities for experienced and skilled Fabricator/Welders to join the team on a permanent and fulltime basis.

Working as part of a team, you will ensure that high quality fabricated and welded parts are produced in accordance with national and international standards/specifications, ensuring that welded joints meet the acceptance criteria of the relevant standard.

Fabricator-Welder Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and manufacture large stainless-steel components.
  • Responsible for the dimensional accuracy of pre-inspection parts.
  • Follow technical drawings and method statements to ensure exact output to specification.
  • Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS’s) in order to produce welds of high quality with TIG and/or MIG/MAG welding processes.
  • Ensure the maintenance and operation of all tools, fixtures, machinery and welding equipment on a daily basis.
  • Ensure material storage is sufficiently managed to ensure no cross contamination and traceable throughout the fabrication process.
  • Follow technical procedures for the safe use and storage of welding consumables.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Fabricator-Welder Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a qualified TIG and/or MIG/MAG welder in accordance with BS EN 287-1, BS EN ISO 9606-1 or ASME BPVC Section IX specifications.
  • Ideally be a time served fabricator-welder to NVQ level III or equivalent level, with extensive experience fabricating stainless steel parts.
  • Experience of manufacturing equipment for high integrity projects (Desirable).
  • Experience of using overhead cranes lifting large components (Desirable).
  • Up to date knowledge of common welding symbols and good understanding of technical drawings.
  • Ability to work and problem solve within a small specialised team.
  • Preferably have had previous national SC security vetting.
