We are looking for Electronics Engineers and a Team Leader, both with experience in the practical manufacture of Microwave and/or Digital Electronics, including the assembly of PCB-based sub-systems. You will need to have knowledge (and an interest) in the areas of Microwave and/or Digital products.

One role will be as Manager, requiring an MEng or BEng (Hons) Degree or a similar industrial route. The other role, working under the manager, will need relevant industrial experience, preferably with a minimum of BTEC Level 4 Qualification.

As state-of-the-art systems microwave transmitters/receivers operate in the 10 GHz (X-Band) frequency range, these units integrate both digital and analogue high-frequency electronics. We are looking for engineers that understand both areas to form our core product team.

Ideally, you will be familiar with the following test equipment:

  • Spectrum Analyzer
  • Network Analyzer
  • Oscilloscope
  • Power Meter
  • Function Generator
  • Noise Figure Meter
  • Audio Analyser

You will be testing at both the PCB board level and overall system level and should be familiar with relevant quality assurance processes. Due to the sensitive nature of the business, a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK will be essential to obtain security clearance.

The role is based at our Stoke on Trent facility. Travel in the UK and overseas may be required from time to time, and some flexibility to be open to overtime during busy periods would be a major plus, which will also open significant increases to the salary.

We would imagine the basic salary for the Engineer would be in the region of £55,000 to £60,000, and the Manager/Team Leader around £65,000 to £75,000, plus bonus and overtime as mentioned. This is an exciting new division in the UK working within a well-established business that is expanding at a tremendous rate globally, offering both job security and prospects for the ambitious.

For more information or a confidential chat, please forward your CV, ideally with a cover paragraph or two on why you feel this could be the ideal move for you, and we will arrange to get back to you at a time to suit you, day or evening.
