We are looking for an enthusiastic, tidy minded individual with attention to detail to learn the process of our new Automated Laboratory Production facility. Previous experience in Chemical, Process manufacturing, Laboratory or Quality related activities would be an advantage; however, more importantly, you will bring your organisation and attention to detail as we can train the right character on everything else.
The role is to manage two production areas: Automated Chemical Production and laboratory activities. Neither side is particularly physical; the production side involves overseeing a cutting-edge automated computer-run system using PLC/SCADA systems, which requires human intervention to set up, oversee, and maintain with good attention to detail for the smooth running of the process. As the process is heavily reliant on computer-based systems, you will need to be confident with IT and willing to learn new systems.
On the lab side, you will be sampling, measuring, production testing, and recording results for Quality control. This is an exciting time to join a new small growing business within a well-established global group, offering long-term job security in an exciting industry working with customers in Aerospace, Automotive, and Semiconductors, with prospects for the ambitious to move into various areas of the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is tidy, proactive, and comfortable working with automated systems while also supporting maintenance and routine lab work. If you feel you have the work ethic and enthusiasm to make a difference, take pride in your work, and have a very organised mind, this could be the ideal role for you.
To begin, the hours would be 8 to 4 or 9 to 5 with paid overtime available. For more information, please forward your CV ideally with a covering note on why you feel this is the role for you.
