We are seeking a skilled Gold Card Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment to systems and hardware assembled in our factory, at the installation site both in country and abroad. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems of an industrial nature and the ability to work with both power and hand tools. The Electrician will ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to assembled system hardware.
- Work with 3-phase electrical systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance to assembled equipment both in the factory and at the customer's installation site.
- Build and fault-find equipment control panels.
- Ensure all work meets current regulations and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
- Collaborate with team members both in the factory and on site to complete projects efficiently.
- Document work performed and report any issues to management.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician.
- Strong knowledge of control wiring, 3-phase systems and industrial equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are advantageous.
Desirable:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with PLC systems and control logic.
- Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
