What you'll do
- Manage the complete lifecycle of the candidate journey from initial requisition approval to offer negotiation, for all corporate office roles up to Director level
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with department heads to understand their departmental needs, team dynamics, and desired candidate profiles, delivering timely hiring solutions
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process, reflecting Dorchester Collection values and our commitment to talent and development
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices in hospitality industry and beyond, and provide guidance on market trends and talent availability
- Manage recruitment agency relationships and create a preferred supplier list (PSL) of agencies
- Own the recruitment module on Talentsoft, ensuring accurate employee records are kept. When needed, you will deliver user training, and grant recruitment access to users, and maintain integrations between system and broadbean/job boards, and own reporting on Talent KPIs
- Administer all assessments for recruitment across all levels in the corporate office, and for key property roles (Talent Plus, Saville)
- Plan and execute school recruitment strategies, develop communication materials, plan events, and design and order collateral for recruitment events
- Represent Dorchester Collection during recruitment fairs and career events to attract and recruit top talent and increase brand awareness
- Initiate and maintain relationships and partnerships with relevant industry associations and academic counsels
- Monitor Dorchester Collection careers inbox fielding inquiries and referral CVs, acting as the first point of contact for all things recruitment
- Own the Dorchester Collection Alumni Programme, and any additional talent pipelines

A key member of the People and Culture team, the People & Talent Specialist will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the corporate People function, supporting other functions within the team.
Work with the Employee Experience Manager on corporate office engagement initiatives. Escalation point of reference for Employee Relations Issues in absence of Employee Experience Manager, supporting with note taking or meetings.
The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of the People & Talent Specialist but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our Collection. You will work closely with the Head of Talent in all Talent related projects.
The hours of operation for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, based in our corporate office in Knightsbridge. You are able to work from home on Fridays.
What you'll bring
Essential Skills:
- You have previous experience in a Talent Acquisition or Recruitment role, preferably in a luxury environment
- You have a people centric, inclusive mindset, ensuring diversity, inclusion and belonging is at the forefront of every recruitment decision
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great written and verbal communication skills, and can present to large audiences in English
- Fully competent across all Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- A high degree of attention to detail
- A naturally organised and inquisitive person, someone who loves to create and continuously improve processes and ways of working
- You are able to establish and maintain professional interpersonal relationships, effectively consult with and influence hiring managers, providing strategic advice
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise a heavy workload to meet the needs of the business. You are able to manage multiple/high volume tasks and projects
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience using an ATS or HRIS is preferred but not required
