What you'll do:
A day in the life of our Shift Engineer demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Our Shift Engineer is responsible for managing repairs, either in person or through subcontractors, responding to daily engineering issues and performing proactive routine maintenance and equipment inspection, being fully aware of Health & Safety legislation. Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Shift Engineer must communicate with other departments and the extended hotel team in order to ensure alignment remains, especially through working closely with our Housekeeping teams to provide the best service around our hotel.

Previous experience in a luxury 5* hotel is beneficial but not essential. ONC/HNC or City & Guilds Building Services qualifications. Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering qualifications. Experience within Building services & controls. Knowledge of BMS controls, heating & air conditioning equipment and the general functioning of equipment such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical and TV controls. Knowledge of Health & Safety and Risk assessments.
