About DoorNet
DoorNet.co.uk is the UK's first compliance-first security staffing marketplace. We don't employ guards — we provide the infrastructure for SIA-licensed door supervisors and the businesses that need them to connect, verify and transact directly. Built around speed, compliance and intelligent matching, we specialise in last-minute shift cover predicting and surfacing the best available guard for any shift, instantly. Every guard is verified, every placement is compliant, every booking happens in minutes not days.
The Role
We're looking for a seasoned operator from within the UK private security industry to join as Co-Founder. You understand the pressure of last-minute cover, the compliance burden facing venues and security companies, and the frustration of not having the right person in the right place at the right time. You're comfortable picking up the phone, building relationships from scratch and converting conversations into partnerships. You're ready to help build the platform that solves one of the industry's biggest daily headaches.
What You'll Own
- Cold calling and cold outreach to venues, nightclubs, events companies, hospitality groups and security firms across the UK
- Building and converting a pipeline of clients who need reliable last-minute cover
- Identifying where last-minute staffing pain is greatest and positioning DoorNet as the solution
- Advising on our matching algorithm and compliance features based on real industry experience
- Representing DoorNet at industry events and within SIA circles
- Driving growth in our guard network and client base across key UK cities
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in the UK private security industry — as an operator, security company owner, venue security manager or senior SIA-licensed professional
- Proven ability to cold call, build relationships from scratch and close deals
- Deep understanding of last-minute staffing challenges, SIA licensing and compliance requirements
- An existing network of decision-makers at venues, events companies, hospitality groups or security firms
- Someone who has felt the problem DoorNet solves — and wants to fix it at scale
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you're building something, not filling a role
What You Get
- Meaningful equity stake in a fast-growing UK tech startup
- The chance to reshape compliance and speed in an industry you know inside out
- Full autonomy over your domain — this is your business too
