Our new rates of pay and benefits apply from 1 January 2026. Our starting rate of pay is £14.10 per hour (40 hours per week enhanced overtime rate). Once you are fully trained and have passed your probationary period you will earn £14.54 per hour (40 hours per week enhanced overtime rate). When you achieve your performance KPIs in full you will earn up to basic £15.26 per hour (40 hours per week enhanced overtime rate).
All roles have the benefit of 23 days plus 8 statutory holidays per year, a holiday buy and sell scheme, holidays increasing to 33 days per annum with service, life insurance, health care cash plan with private GP service and employee assistance once you have passed your probationary period, plus a retail discount programme, social events and treat days.
2025 has been a growth year at DoorCo and 2026 will be no different. We are fast paced and dynamic and we put our customers at the heart of everything we do. These roles will involve predominantly working in our 3.5T curtain sided vans as well as our 26T rigid HGVs, so a Type C licence is required, as a minimum. Working nationally, the roles offer significant opportunity for development.
We are looking for candidates who are hardworking, flexible and enjoy working closely with customers. As an HGV Driver your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Being the face of the DoorCo business, interacting with customers daily
- Being responsible for your product load ensuring its safety and security
- Using Samsara technology to complete your pre-driver daily checks and being responsible for the completion of all paperwork
- Working on your own initiative
- Willingness to work flexibly to achieve customer deliveries
The usual standard working hours are 05:30-14:30 with overtime available. To be successful you will have experience of working in a similar fast environment with a track record of commitment and dedication.
Our workload is demanding, and our roles require skills that include:
- Attention to detail and a strong understanding of driver working time and the driving working time directive
- Full understanding of vehicle compliance
- Meticulous care in handling our products
- Lifting and moving products as required
- A valid driving license with no more than 3 penalty points
- Proven experience of driving delivery vehicles and a strong work ethic
- Determination to succeed
- A reliable and focused work record and history with exceptional team skills
