My client is an established and reputable public affairs agency based in London. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced account manager to join their team. In particular, they would like to talk to talented and ambitious applicants with either direct experience of working in Public Affairs Agencies at Account Manager or Senior Account Executive level or from other backgrounds with an interest in developing a career in public affairs.
One of the main areas of focus for the successful candidate will be the agency’s work on transport. An ability to manage and anticipate the needs of stakeholders in this area, as well as a good grasp of transport policy would be key skills.
You will be working day to day with senior members of their team ensuring their client’s needs are met and that strategic objectives are delivered. You will need to be highly motivated to deliver the day-to-day activity on client accounts. A “can do” attitude is essential. This is a great opportunity for someone with two years or more experience in a public affairs agency, trade association or other similar organisation who wants to join a team with plenty of room for internal progression.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident in representing the business with their clients, as well as external audiences and networks including political stakeholders.
- Have the ability to take a lead on account management and campaign delivery which includes developing strategy as well as key day to day activities.
- Have a good level of understanding of the transport sector.
- Be highly organised.
- Have the ability to conduct detailed policy work.
- Have experience in media relations and PR.
- Have the ability to take on responsibility for delivering on multiple clients.
Skills & Experience:
- The ability to break down complex areas of policy often to tight deadlines and present them to clients in a clear and concise way that helps our clients identify potential opportunities and areas of interest.
- A good working knowledge of UK governments and parliaments.
- Two years or more work experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to work across a broad range of clients across a number of sectors all with different needs and demands.
