Located in the heart of Patna, Doonbank Care Home provides personalised nursing and residential care for up to 36 residents, promoting small group living in a warm, family-like setting. While thoughtfully equipped with all modern comforts, the home maintains a sense of calm and unhurried tranquility—ensuring every resident feels relaxed, supported, and truly at home. We are proud to hold a .uk rating of 9.7 and Care Inspectorate grades of 4, 5, 5, 4, and 4, reflecting our ongoing commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract £20.55 per hour Contracted to between 24 - 42 hours per week - days & nights rotation Paid PVG, Paid NMC, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times. Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

  • Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
  • At least 6 months post registration required
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
