The Lunch Time Assistant is responsible for:
A supportive role to ensure the smooth running of the Nursery
β’ Supervising meals
β’ Tidying up efficiently
β’ Helping to soothe children to sleep if required
β’ Room cover where necessary
To create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children. 2. To have a flexible working approach, assisting colleagues when required and as directed. 3. To ensure that all mealtimes are calm and organised β liaising with the Nursery Cook, Housekeeper, Room Leader and staff. 4. To support the staff with children\βs handwashing and preparation for meals. 5. To ensure the snack bar and water jugs are always fresh and replenished. 6. To ensure the tables, chairs and floors are clean and all debris following play or mealtimes is removed. 7. To co-operate and work effectively with the Room Leader and management team, taking on additional responsibilities and duties. 8. To follow instructions and systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care and standards. 9. To adhere to all Nursery policies and procedures. 10. To safeguard and protect children, reporting any concerns immediately β in accordance with the Safeguarding and Whistleblowing policies. 11. To ensure that you are mindful of staffing ratios at all times and to be aware of when you can/cannot leave a room. 12. To interact with children and parents appropriately. 13. To support colleagues to fulfil their key person role and responsibilities where possible. 14. To be a good role model to the children 15. To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment. 16. To maintain the highest standards of health and safety contributing to making the Nursery a safe and secure environment for all. 17. To wear protective clothing in accordance with COSHH and health and hygiene regulations and infection control guidelines. 18. To ensure that all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition out of access of children at all times. 19. To ensure all laundry, sterilising of toys and equipment and other general cleaning duties are carried out in according with the rota in conjunction with the Housekeeper and staff team. 20. To undertake any other aspects of Nursery work according to need

Experience:
