The Role
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering and construction projects, from initial cost planning through to final account settlement. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure alignment between Company and Client requirements, with a focus on cost efficiency, value optimisation and risk management to support the successful delivery of projects to agreed standards, budgets and timescales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior commercial and operational stakeholders within key client organisations
- Support Contract Managers and Senior Management in the financial management, reporting and performance of assigned contracts
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and associated reports in line with contractual deadlines
- Manage the subcontractor process, including approvals, xgikmsk work allocation, payment certification and maintaining accurate records
- Undertake full commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting, and progress monitoring
- Produce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), including analysis of performance, tracking of variations and reporting on profitability
- Attend regular client meetings to review financial performance, resolve outstanding balances and support positive cash flow
