Donview Vets are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. We are a busy mixed animal practice located in Aberdeenshire offering a high level of first opinion care. We are a friendly practice, with a low nursing staff turnover. We are well equipped with a digital x-ray, digital dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, in house blood machines, isolation facilities, separate dog and cat wards and separate dog and cat designated waiting areas in reception.
We have excellent facilities and equipment and are always looking to improve on our existing service and capabilities. The building has undergone a redesign for expansion to accommodate the growth of the practice. This redesign includes additional consult rooms, an additional theatre, imaging room, dental room, surgical instrument prep area, kennel and cattery wards, staff wellbeing room, offices and conference room. In 2022 we won an RCVS Knowledge award for Quality Improvement and attained ISFM gold status.
The Role
We have a new position available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding supportive team. Full time and Part time applicants would be considered, with availability to be discussed during the interview process. Saturdays (8.30-1) to be included but on a rota basis, however there are no Sundays or OOH requirements. Duties include assisting the veterinary surgeon, surgical and medical nursing, anaesthetic monitoring, inpatient care, taking x-rays, laboratory diagnostics, nurse consultations, student training and assisting in clinical audits to improve quality of care.
Job Requirements
We are seeking an independent, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join and support our dedicated nursing team. Client service and patient care is of paramount importance to us therefore passion for quality improvement is necessary. Any other specific interests will be encouraged where possible. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of a large team and varied environment. They will be someone who wishes to use their skills and is keen to progress their knowledge and share with the team. They will enjoy contributing to student training and development. They will have experience, confidence and be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative. They will have excellent communication skills, an empathetic nature and a strong ethos to achieve and deliver excellent clinical care.
