As Marketing & New Business Executive, you will be pivotal in supporting the agency’s marketing and new business activity. You’ll work closely with the Junior Marketing Manager, the Founding Partner, and the Client & Commercial Partner; whilst liaising with the Client Service, Strategy and Creative teams. You will demonstrate excellent research skills and with a flair for social media, you will be a natural at gathering and collating information to help inform the agency’s marketing activity and create business development opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator with great confidence, and the ability to influence others. You’ll have superb written, admin and organisation skills.

We are looking for someone to join us for 12 months minimum and welcome applications from all backgrounds, communities and industries. We are committed to having a team that is made up of diverse skills, experiences and abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Create posts for our owned channels (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) and monitor responses.
  • Maintain the marketing database and internal systems, ensuring that information is accurate.
  • Help create agency email campaigns, managing and tracking them.
  • Liaise with all relevant contributors to ensure all activity happens on schedule after the Marketing/New Business meetings.
  • Update the website, working with all contributors to ensure content is regular and current and SEO performance is maintained or improved.
  • Manage the outreach to prospects and follow-ups, whether that’s by email or by sending corporate gifts.
  • Carry out SEO reports and social media reports to monitor the agency’s presence on the web / in the media.
  • Help prepare presentations and attend meetings, ensuring creds decks are prepared and relevant.
  • Contact potential clients on behalf of the Founding Partner, via his email or phone, to set up meetings; sourcing and attending events and speaking opportunities with them.
  • Research organisations and individuals (using social media) to identify new business contacts and potential new opportunities.
  • Help propose possible speakers, themes, etc. for Shoreditch House events; liaising with all relevant internal and external people to organise the events.
  • Manage incoming new business enquiries, reviewing and interrogating the opportunity using the ‘new business questions form’, then liaising internally to ensure the adequate response is given as agreed with the Founding Partner and updating the databases and spreadsheets accordingly.
  • Working alongside the Client and Commercial Partner, help manage new business workstreams as they come in, feeding into the client services team in advance, sharing background information, including client overviews, brief background and pointers covered in the ‘new business questions form’.
  • Ensure follow-up communication is efficiently organised and documented, with improvements to the process adequately identified and implemented.
  • Diary management/booking meetings with clients/chasing for responses/setting locations.
  • Actively monitor press and digital media for new opportunities.
  • Buying, sending client gifts and keeping track of what has been sent.
  • Ensure a consistent positive and helpful approach to client work and briefs.
  • Maintain team documentation and administration to support the team.
  • Work on internal agency projects, social initiatives and events.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and PA duties including greeting visitors, teas & coffees, booking flights etc.
