Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Events, the Senior Event Manager is responsible for taking a lead role in ensuring effective event delivery for both Don't Panic-owned and client events. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Event Manager to join the Don't Panic team, managing the end-to-end delivery of our events across an international scale. Experience delivering awards is an essential requirement for this role. Monday – Friday, 2 days per week in Rawtenstall is essential. £30k – £35k, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Independently manage internal events and client accounts, leading on all key elements including budgets, venue searching and contracting, supplier sourcing and negotiations and more, through to event delivery.
  • Work closely with the Don't Panic team to define event objectives and create and deliver appropriate event solutions.
  • Possess a strong understanding of AV requirements and the ability to showcall independently.
  • The preparation of RAMS, event plans and emergency procedures.
  • Produce effective project plans, briefing documents, presentations and scripts to ensure professional event delivery.
  • To prepare, lead and manage judging sessions for events.
  • To ensure the smooth running of international events and ensure all considerations are met i.e., visa's, permits, insurance, travel itineraries.
  • Assist with the training of junior team members, sharing your knowledge to aid their development and supporting them where required.
  • Use your advanced knowledge to support with project distribution, event timelines, resourcing and leading the team in the absence of the Head of Events if required.
  • Assist with management of the trophy shop and AwardSoft platform.

We're looking for:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as an Event Manager, with strong knowledge of delivering awards.
  • The ability to multitask across numerous complex projects with varied deadlines, in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills.
  • The ability to showcall and a good understanding of technical production (AV, lighting, staging) is essential.
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate budgets and manage expenditure.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Keynote.
  • Driving license and access to a car is essential.
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally, and flexibility around working hours.
  • Experience of working in an agency environment is desirable.
