Position Overview
Reporting to the Head of Events, the Event Manager is responsible for ensuring effective event delivery for both Don’t Panic-owned and client events.

We’re looking for 2+ years of relevant event management experience with strong organisational, project management and budget skills. Awards experience is desirable.
£27k – £30k dependent on experience
This is a hybrid role which requires 2 days per week at our office in Rawtenstall.
A willingness to travel is key for this role, with opportunities in Europe, the USA, Dubai and Australia.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing both internal events and client accounts, leading on project meetings and overseeing end-to-end delivery.
- Create and manage event budgets across your projects
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers, venues and subcontractors
- Work closely with the Don’t Panic team to define event objectives and create and deliver appropriate event solutions.
- Manage communication between clients, the agency and suppliers to ensure effective event delivery.
- Source and secure venues, including production of venue search reports.
- Source, manage and deliver event infrastructure including AV, branding and entertainment
- Source hosts and entertainment as required, providing innovative new ideas for our events and clients.
- Manage all event bookings and partner liaison, providing high levels of customer service
- Work with the wider Don’t Panic team on website launches and marketing collateral
- The preparation of RAMS, event plans and emergency procedures
- Produce effective project plans, briefing documents, presentations and scripts to ensure professional event delivery
- To prepare, lead and manage judging sessions for events.
- To ensure the smooth running of international events and ensure all considerations are met i.e., visa’s, permits, insurance, travel itineraries.
We’re looking for:
- 2+ years of relevant experience as an Event Manager, ideally with strong knowledge of delivering awards
- The ability to multitask across numerous complex projects with varied deadlines, in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
- The ability to showcall is desirable
- Proven ability to prepare accurate budgets and manage expenditure
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Keynote.
- Driving license and access to a car is essential
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally, and flexibility around working hours
- Experience of working in an agency environment is desirable
