We are urgently recruiting an experienced Project HSE Manager for a major engineering project based in SW London/North Surrey. We are ideally looking for applicants with at least 10 years HSE experience, including 3+ years as a HSE Manager, within the oil & gas/energy sectors. This is a senior project position responsible for the management and development of the Project HSE Management System throughout the engineering and development phases.

You will act as the HSE focal point for the project, provide advice to Project Management and lead the project HSE team. The role will involve managing Client and subcontractor HSE interfaces, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, CDM Regulations and IOGP standards, leading accident and incident investigations, and establishing HSE monitoring and audit programmes. You will also lead project risk management activities including HAZOP, HAZID and risk assessments, while supporting environmental management and project HSE close-out.

Essential Experience:

  • 10+ years' HSE experience, including 3+ years at HSE Manager level
  • Strong engineering, oil & gas, offshore, energy or major project experience
  • Good knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
  • Experience working with IOGP standards
  • Experience leading HAZOP, HAZID and risk assessment activities
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • TechIOSH or above and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor would be advantageous

Rate: Up to £750 per day
Location: SW London/North Surrey. 3 days office based/2 days remote
IR35: Outside IR35
Contract: Full-time Contract position
Start: ASAP
