We are now recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer with good experience in offshore geotechnics and foundations design. This is a long term contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global engineering and construction contractor working within the offshore wind sector, based at their office in London.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and interpreting geotechnical investigations to support the design and installation of offshore structures, including wind turbine foundations, oil & gas platforms, subsea pipelines, and seabed installations. The role involves interpretation, data analysis, and foundation design/installation recommendations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Skills/experience required:
- 5-10 years experience in offshore geotechnics and foundations design - essential.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Good knowledge of offshore drilling, CPT interpretation, soil-structure interaction and geotechnical data interpretation.
- Experience with at least one finite element analysis (PLAXIS, ABAQUS) or pile design software (GRLWEAP, SPLICE, APILE, LPILE, SETTLE3D) would be a plus.
- Willingness to learn and proactive mindset.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and offshore environments.
