We are now recruiting for an Environmental Engineer with 10 years' experience in offshore and onshore Oil & Gas/renewables projects. This is a contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global engineering and construction contractor, based at their office in London with some travel to the North West.
As Environmental Engineer you will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the Company HSE guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop construction environmental management plan for onshore and offshore activities
- Manage Subcontractor compliance to environmental requirements
- Supervise the activities of the Environmental coordinator
- Coordinate and communicate with environmental agency, local authorities, internal company departments and relevant external stakeholders
- Perform project environmental activities such as completing ENVID, Environmental Plans, Environmental Reporting including data analysis and Environmental Investigations
- Complete onsite activities such as audits, training, regular inspections and produce reports and data
Skills/experience required:
- Education: BEng or BSc majoring in environmental or similar
- Experience: 10 years in offshore and onshore projects
- Certification: ISO 140001 Lead Auditor

- Contract duration: Ongoing
- Rate: £650 per day (Ltd - role expected to fall outside of IR35 but subject to pre-contract assessment)
- Location: SW London - 3 days p/w office based (minimum), 2 days remote working. Some travel to the North West required.
