The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing client relationships and overseeing a range of accounting and advisory services. You’ll work closely with partners and junior team members, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a consistently high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Managing and reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
  • Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax computations
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear guidance and proactive recommendations
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with workflow planning and contributing to process improvements within the practice

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a personable approach.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified ACCA/ICAS (or equivalent)
  • Strong practice background with experience managing your own client portfolio
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and tax principles
  • Confident using cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
