We are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join our friendly and supportive team at Donnington Grove Vets, Newbury. Whether you’re an experienced vet or early in your career, we are happy to support your development and tailor the role to your needs.

Flexibility to suit your lifestyle

We understand the importance of work-life balance and are happy to consider flexible working patterns, including part-time hours. Our typical full-time role is 4 days a week, with our OOH rota shared evenly across a large team but we’re open to discussions on how we can make this work for you.

On-Call Schedule for Veterinary Surgeons:

Currently, this is 1 in 15 nights and 1 in 7 weekends. For on-call shifts during the week, there is a later start (approx. 12.00 midday) during the day prior to the night shift and finishing at 1.00 pm the following day. This schedule ensures adequate rest between shifts, promoting well-being and a balanced workload for the veterinary surgeon. If called out, you will receive a generous bonus payment.
