The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Site Accountant, the successful candidate will assist with the accurate and timely preparation of accounts in line with company policy and procedures. This will include reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying control weaknesses and taking remedial action when required. You will also provide backup information and support for the accounting team, site director and other management whilst ensuring that all work completed complies with Group, manufacturer and industry guidelines.

The role will require you to perform some of the following duties but also to have a working knowledge of all areas of the accounts function including:

  • Sales Ledger
    • Daily lodgements recorded in cash book and posted to the various ledgers
    • Reconciliation of sales ledger accounts
    • Ensuring all vehicle debt is cleansed with salesmen
    • Daily lodgements to the bank for parts & services and vehicle sales
  • Purchase Ledger
    • Processing of purchase invoices
    • Verification/coding of invoices
    • Scanning & storage of invoices
  • Vehicle Stock Books (VSB)
    • Buying vehicles on to the VSB as required
    • Reconciling the morning VSB reports
    • Reconciling & cleansing the VSB control accounts
  • Other Duties
    • Posting of receipts & payments from the bank account
    • Assisting with bank reconciliations
    • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
