The predicted salary is between 43000 - 43000 £ per year.
This is a central role, delivering exceptional theatre by providing effective communication across our two Covent Garden sites. It combines a variety of general duties, acting as a bridge between the office and theatre, and carrying out the CSM role on between one to two productions per year. The CSM will work with the wider Donmar team and freelance stage management to ensure we have a consistently welcoming and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicates in an efficient and timely manner across sites
- Provides pastoral care for all company members
- Onboards and inducts show freelancers and company members
- Keeps the production team informed of issues and updates
- Oversees stage management teams on assigned productions
- Efficiently and effectively manages scheduling
- Supports the contracting of freelancers
- Coordinates logistics for workshops and readings alongside the Producer and Casting Director
- Manages logistics including travel, accommodation, and company ticket requests
- Ensures union compliance and resolves company issues alongside the Senior Producer
- Handles specialised contracting, including for children and chaperones
- Provides general administrative support to the Senior Producer to ensure smooth production runs
- Ensures health and safety compliance
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven significant experience in theatre company stage management
- Experience working with a variety of creative teams
- Experience of technical rehearsals
- Knowledge and experience of trade union agreements
- Robust understanding of health and safety requirements
