The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

The successful candidates will carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modification or upgrade to plant and services in order to minimise downtime and maintain the equipment in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and adhere to instructions from Maintenance Manager and Senior Maintenance Technicians.
  • Manage electrical repairs and breakdowns whilst avoiding downtime and ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Fault find and continuously improve site wide, focusing on critical plant and addressing the root cause of failures.
  • Electrical installation of new plant and machinery.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on plant and machinery.
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers as necessary regarding equipment installation, reliability and fault diagnosis issues.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship as an electrical or mechatronic technician, ideally to HNC or equivalent level.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing background.
  • Experience in fault diagnosis in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Experience with motor control systems, process temperature controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC/PC control systems.
  • Experience with equipment installation.
