The Role As a Process Engineer within our Foundry, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. You'll be responsible for driving process performance, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and ensuring output targets are achieved. Working closely with production and technical teams, you'll identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement process enhancements, and use your engineering expertise to deliver operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be working within the engineering department, alongside the process engineering team. This team is comprised of 2 other engineers who take responsibility for Foundry and Shelling. On a day-to-day basis you will: Liaise with part engineers to ensure scrap and waste reduction. Lead Plant Equipment improvement activities including major CAPEX projects. Lead improvement initiatives in manufacturing process. Use your problem-solving skills to ensure all conflicts are resolved. Interested? To succeed in this role, you will: Hold an HND/HNC/ bachelor qualification in Material science, Mechanical Engineering or Foundry Technology. You will have previous experience as a process Engineer in a relevant industry, Casting or Injection Moulding industry. You will have working knowledge of techniques such as 8D, FMEA, OEE, Lean Manufacturing. You will have a high level of understanding of Key process Control Measures such as CP and CPK.
