The Role
As an Operations Manager, you will lead the development and communication of a clear vision and strategy for the Operations team, setting challenging objectives, defining performance metrics, and creating an environment where the team can excel. This role shapes the organisation and culture to optimise effectiveness and strengthen employee relations. You will work closely with Head of Manufacturing, the General Manager and senior leadership, ensuring all services support the manufacturing delivery plan and contribute to overall site excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maximising productivity, driving continuous improvement and lean practices.
- Optimising factory processes and equipment utilisation.
- Ensuring product flow meets OTIF targets.
- Leading site projects, supporting business planning and budgeting with cost reduction strategies.
- Overseeing the efficient conversion of raw materials into finished goods while meeting commitments to shareholders.

- Degree or equivalent within Engineering, Metallurgical, Operational or commercial discipline or relevant experience.
- Lean Manufacturing Qualifications (Green belt, Black belt or other).
- Thorough knowledge of investment casting technology, processes and manufacturing methods.
- Previous leadership role within a growing manufacturing business.
