At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ross & Catherall based in Sheffield.

Working hours - This role works on a shift basis working mornings (5am – 1pm), days (1pm – 9pm) and (9pm – 5am) nights in rotation week by week.

Salary - Base rate £43,768 with a 19.58 shift allowance on top of the base rate.

The Role

Join our team as a maintenance technician and use your technical skills and knowledge to perform maintenance, installation and repair work to maintain our Ross & Catherall buildings, facilities, machines and equipment, so we can continue to turn metals into motion serving the Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine industries!

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance on site.
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, by maintaining a strong focus on first time fix.
  • Ensure that all installation and maintenance of production plant, equipment, buildings and services is achieved.
  • Communicate with wider teams on the status of repairs where failure may cause disruption to the site and production timeline.

To succeed in this role, you will have the relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent experience. You will have experience working in a maintenance team within a mechanical role within a medium/ heavy machinery industry particularly within pneumatics and hydraulics.
