At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Foundry Operator to join our team at Chard Precision Castings based in Somerset!
Hours of work: Mon – Thu: 06:00-14:00 (early shift) / 14:00-22:00 (late shift)
Fri: 0600 – 1200 (early shift) / 1200 – 1800 (late shift)

The Role
Join our team as a Foundry Operator! Using specified work instructions and technique cards, the foundry operator will work with the foundry department to melt and pour alloys. You will play a vital role in the casting process, handling the loading and unloading of pre-fire ovens, moulds and furnace ovens. Operating vacuum furnaces and air melt systems, you’ll ensure precise melting and alloy preparation while marking up and weighing materials for accuracy. Alongside hands-on work, you’ll manage electronic and paper data entry and operate lifting equipment safely. Most importantly, you’ll uphold strict casting procedures to maintain quality, efficiency and safety throughout production.
