Compliance Manager

At Doncasters, we have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our team working remotely based in the UK. There will be some travel to our sites across Europe, Asia, and the US.

This is an exciting opportunity as it is a new role being introduced to the group, reporting to our General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer. As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s global legal compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions - across the UK, United States, Germany, India, and China. You will ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while promoting a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance across all business units.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement and continuously improve the global compliance management system in line with applicable laws, regulation, and best practice.
• Maintain and update global compliance policies.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, including corruption, antitrust, export control, sanctions, data protection, and ESG related risks.
• Monitor compliance with policies and legal requirements, including audits and compliance reviews.
• Oversee whistleblowing and reporting mechanism and ensure appropriate follow up and mediation.
• Draft all committee charters, procedures, and other governance documents which may be required.
• Implement and oversee third-party compliance processes, including due diligence of agents, distributors, suppliers, and joint venture partners.
• Support supply chain compliance initiatives, including sanctions, export controls, and ESG requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced Compliance Manager with experience in compliance, legal, internal audit, or risk management ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment. You will have proven experience working in a compliance role managing global or regional compliance programs. You will have strong knowledge of global compliance topics, including anti-corruption, antitrust, export control, sanctions, and data protection. You will have knowledge and an understanding of compliance to global supply chains and risks associated with these. You will have strong stakeholder management skills to communicate and gain buy-in across cultures and seniority levels.
