Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) have vacancies for Leisure Assistant across various venues across the city. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our leisure centres, while supporting colleagues and making every customer experience a positive one.
About the role
The main duties of this role are to maintain good supervision over the swimming pool, communicate effectively with all centre users and colleagues, and have an awareness of problems and preventing accidents. Preparation of activities for customers and cleaning duties are also part of the working day in always ensuring a customer focused environment.
You will be working in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people and help to inspire others to work together and deliver their very best. Work patterns will include evenings and weekends, as well as Bank Holidays. An up-to-date pool lifeguard qualification will be required, and you will need to complete ongoing training and competency assessment.
Working with us as a Leisure Assistant can be a great first step into management, or moving into other roles such as catering, coaching/teaching, or fitness. Our part-time opportunities can provide the ideal opportunity to support other interests outside of work, such as further education or training.
