Located in and around Doncaster, our venues are at the heart of the community. The facilities offer a range of activities from swimming, gym and studio programmes, outdoor pitches, ten pin bowling and soft play, ice rink and cycling. As DCLT’s capital investment program continues and with the recent & future reopening of our refurbished centres, we are looking to further expand our team across the Trust.
We are looking for Outdoor Activity Leaders/Lifeguards to work as part of a team delivering a fantastic guest journey at our Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre. To fulfil this role you will need to enjoy working outdoors. Our Activity Leaders/Lifeguards deliver multi-activity sessions to a variety of groups including children and adults, with activities taking place on both land and water.
We are looking for people with enthusiasm, good people skills and a can-do attitude along with a mature and responsible attitude as you will also be responsible for our customers' safety while they are enjoying the activities. You will need to be a strong swimmer as you’ll complete a nationally accredited Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Outdoor Water Safety Qualification.
In addition, if you have experience of climbing, paddle-boarding or other outdoor activities that would be great, but if you haven’t, we can train you to be able to deliver these activities, if you have the desire to take part and succeed. The role is diverse and as well as group leading you could find yourself delivering Aqua Park activity, manning the outdoor pool, co-ordinating boat hire and supporting the wider park at peak times.
Successful applicants will have the ability to be flexible and to exhibit a professional and welcoming approach in all activities and with customers. You will be conscientious and demonstrate a pro-active approach to yours and others' health and safety.
In return we will provide uniforms, and an excellent rate of pay £13.50 per hour along with a range of shift times. As a member of the DCLT team, you will have access to benefits including the free use of DCLT swimming pools and gym facilities across the Doncaster area.
