The HR Onboarding Officer will lead the HR Onboarding team in providing support to recruiting managers across the Council. The team plays an important role at the start of an employee journey with City of Doncaster Council. The team play a vital role in an efficient and effective onboarding process which includes producing offer letters for candidates, carrying out all pre-employment checks and setting up new employees on the HR system.
The postholder will work closely with recruiting managers and candidates at pivotal time in the onboarding journey. Providing support and advice, whilst ensuring the process runs smooth and effectively giving and a good first impression to candidates helping to make City of Doncaster Council to be an employer of choice.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the highly regarded HR Onboarding team delivering a highly quality level of support to recruiting managers. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, capable of working in a busy and demanding environment. You will be well organised and able to lead a team. You will have experience of onboarding and pre-employment checks, along with an understanding of the legislation surrounding them.
This is a temporary opportunity until 31st March 2027, giving you a chance to be part of a supportive team working in a fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same.
