Do you have a positive approach to work and enjoy the challenge of a busy role? We have an opportunity for you. Our General Assistants play a key role in ensuring that our resident service users' health and wellbeing are met during their stay by maintaining a clean and safe environment and assisting to provide nutritious healthy balanced meals.
Within this role you will carry out domestic duties of the assessment unit; ensuring that the unit is cleaned in line with the strict Infection control procedures. This role also includes that of a kitchen assistant who will assist the cook in preparing and cooking food for the 33 residents. Other duties within the role include the ordering and control of stock items, completing necessary paperwork and assisting support workers on occasion with the residents. These duties are not exhaustive and further detail can be found in the job role summary and job profile.
It is all employees' responsibility for individual Health and Safety in the workplace and to be aware of other staff, service users and visitors to the unit's health and well-being by adhering to the unit's health and safety procedures.
The post is available on a 22-hour contract, working a rota pattern which covers 7 days a week and includes weekends.
