This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high‑quality teaching, guide learners to achieve their potential, and help maintain strong industry links within a supportive and forward‑thinking college environment.

As a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progression, and contributing to the ongoing development of our curriculum. You will also act as a Programme Tutor for a designated student caseload and support learners to achieve their goals both academically and personally.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant Motor Vehicle professional qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum and qualification frameworks.
  • Ability to motivate, manage behaviour, and support learners to fulfil their potential.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching across a range of Motor Vehicle courses.
  • Act as Programme Tutor, supporting a caseload of full‑time and/or part‑time students.
  • Embed English and Maths within vocational teaching.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods and emerging technologies to enhance learning.
  • Maintain accurate records including registers, assessments, and progress tracking.
  • Monitor attendance and behaviour, taking appropriate action when required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learning outcomes.
