We are looking for 2 people to join us in our Quality Department as Lead Practitioners in Innovation & Improvement, based at North Lindsey College. Both roles will work across both North Lindsey and Doncaster College sites. In this influential role, you will work closely with curriculum teams to model exceptional, inclusive and adaptive teaching. You’ll support colleagues in developing evidence‑informed approaches, build staff capability through high‑quality coaching, and lead the introduction of innovative pedagogies that enrich the learner experience. Your work will directly contribute to improved outcomes for all learners, especially those who are disadvantaged or face barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities

  • Model consistently high‑quality, inclusive and adaptive teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Provide impactful instructional coaching to support colleagues in planning and delivering high‑quality lessons.
  • Lead the development, trialling and sharing of innovative pedagogies, including technology‑enhanced learning and evidence‑informed practice.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure programmes are ambitious, coherent and aligned to skills needs.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and improvement processes, analysing performance data and evidencing positive impact on learner outcomes and experiences.
  • Design and deliver professional development, workshops and peer‑learning activities for internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain subject and pedagogical expertise through ongoing professional learning and sector engagement.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree‑level qualification (or vocational Level 3 with substantial industry experience), plus a Level 5 teaching qualification.
  • Evidence of highly successful teaching, training or coaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive pedagogy, adaptive teaching and removing barriers to learning.
  • Ability to design and implement innovative, evidence‑informed teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.

Let’s Teach Programme

Let’s Teach supports new members of staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas, including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Let’s Bloom

The Bloom Programme aims to connect experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk‑taking. Teachers volunteer on this one‑year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team and capturing their experimentation in a journal.
