Essential Criteria

  • HNC/HND or degree in Construction Management or relevant industry experience.
  • A demonstrable experience in a lecturing or training role within Further or Higher Education.
  • Strong subject expertise to enhance the quality of taught programmes.
  • Knowledge and experience of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
  • Understanding of education/training initiatives and ability to use ICT as a teaching tool.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and assess student work across Built Environment programmes.
  • Develop curriculum materials and contribute to subject area development.
  • Coordinate course teams and support the day‑to‑day running of programmes.
  • Support learners through mentoring, guidance, and individualised learning plans.
  • Participate in course verification, quality assurance, and departmental planning.
  • Recruit and enrol students, meeting enrolment targets.
  • Undertake professional development and contribute to the College’s appraisal system.
