Are you passionate about supporting learners and creating a welcoming, resource-rich environment? We’re looking for a friendly and proactiveLearning Resource Assistantto join our Academic Services team and help deliver an outstanding experience for students and staff across our college sites.
About the Role
As a Learning Resource Assistant, you’ll provide front-line support in our Learning Resource Centres, helping users access physical and digital resources, navigate college systems, and make the most of their learning environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-organised space that supports teaching, learning, and research.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Level 2
- Experience in a front-facing customer service role
- Strong IT skills across a range of software and systems
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support in the Learning Resource Centres, including issuing and returning resources, shelving, and maintaining a tidy, welcoming environment
- Assist students and staff in accessing online resources, college systems, and IT facilities
- Support the acquisition and maintenance of physical and digital learning materials
- Participate in a rota across college sites to ensure consistent, high-quality service
- Maintain accurate usage data and contribute to service improvement initiatives
